A walk through of the latest Toyota Hilux bespoke build to leave the LAO workshop in Devon. Featuring a LAO full aluminium trayback with a bespoke extra large lockable rear drawer to store oversize equipment safely and securely. The drawer also features a food grade stainless steel lid for quick food preparation on the move. Lockable aluminium rear tool boxes and removable aluminium wheel arches complete the rugged overlander look.

As part of our bespoke fabrication service, our customer requested we design and fabricate a removable aluminium rear hoop to match the LAO trayback headboard design, as they wanted to build their own custom canvas topper to enclose the trayback and create a temporary canopy.

Aluminium trayback

Our chassis mount aluminium traybacks are the perfect starting point for your vehicle, allowing you to use your pick up for work or for play, by switching between the modular accessories. Slide on the bed sides to use the truck for work, or use the perimeter tracking rails to secure loads to the platform trayback. To keep equipment secure and dry, attach the demountable aluminium canopy, whether half, three-quarter or full size. Or use a mixture of canopy, bed side, and tracking rail to suit your needs! Each trayback is fully bespoke and is designed with you to fit your vehicle, specification and any requirements you may have.

We can fully equip the traybacks with features such as an integrated rear drawer, a headboard-mounted stainless steel water tank, auxiliary fuel tanks, AdBlue systems, 12v electrical installations, and more.
